A few years ago I started buying small stones and minerals to make some unusual jewelry for myself, but I soon found I had more than I could wear in a lifetime. (It also ignited a passion for collecting rock and mineral specimens for display.) I realized that if I wanted to continue creating my jewelry I would have to find something else to do with it. So I created 'Healing Fashion' (metaphysical healing stone jewelry) and began selling at a few scifi conventions (one of my other passions).

It still wasn't enough to satisfy my need to create. That's when a friend suggested opening a shop on Etsy. So on December 30th 2007 I opened 'The Grand Design'

(The name is not an ego trip, Grand is my maiden name;)

Lately I've discovered a new obsession, Steampunk Jewelry. I was inspired to make some for myself but, again, I just didn't know when to stop. I've had so much fun with it that it has taken over a large part of my shop.

I love your steam punk jewelry! It's all so lovely and when I move in to my new dorm I'm going to order some off of Etsy for sure! I really like the Steam Punk Griffin pendant. ^.^

My name is Michaela Thunberg and I'm from Sweden. I'm organizing a steampunk LARP and I wonder if you'd let me borrow one or two pictures you have put up on DeviantArt for inspiration for our members and workshops. The pictures will be shown on our website. [link]
Of course we will link to you website and deviantart page and put a copyright-logo with you name on it (either under the picture or on it).

Hope to hear from you soon!

I have absolutely fallen in love with your creations, I'm quite suprised to see that a lot of your work here hasn't got any comments. If I ever have the money, I will take a serious look at your work on etsy and so on, and purchase something. At the moment I am just outstanded by the beauty in your work :+devwatch:

I don't think to much because I have to much spare time, but because I have the spare brain capacity to do it.
